Death Note - An Anime Which Drags People Into Anime World

 

Intoduction

Death Note is one of the most famous anime of all time. It is one of the anime which have converted many people into anime lovers or otaku. It is one of the anime to get its live-action adaption available on Netflix but in my opinion, it is not even near to the anime. It presents a deeply unique and compelling story rivalled by few. It is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

Plot Summary

The background story of Death Note is relatively simple. A shinigami or god of death can kill any person just knowing his/her face and write their victim's name in an ordinary-looking notebook called a Death Note.  Light Yagami, a high school student gets his hand upon the Death Note and quickly recognizes how devastating the power that has fallen into his hands could be. with this power, Light decides to extinguish all criminals to build a new world where crime does not exist and people worship him as a god. But between his way of building this world stand the best detective in the world known by the name of L.

Death Note has made may people hardcore anime fans. It doesn't matter if you have not seen any anime before or which genre you like. One of the charms of this work is it shows how different people have their own sense of justice and around which they revolve and try to change the world. Although it does not contain any physical battles but the psychological battles between these characters are out of this world. 

Although its background story is relatively simple but the mysteries and psychological battles between the characters leave a massive impact on viewers. Some simple scenes are so dramatised and hyped which greatly changes the impact of that scene, one of the most breathtaking scene in the history of anime is the "potato chips" scene which is so dramatised and hyped that it can literally give you goosebumps.

Death Note characters

Death Note also gives us two most famous and unique characters Light and L who always analyse each other and try to psychologically beat each other. It is well written with so much detailing and information that you have to watch some sequences 2-3 times to fully grasp it. 

Most fans say that half part of Death Note is a masterpiece but after that, it's just an irrelevant extension of the series and most of them hate it I also did not like the flow of the story but in my opinion, it's really needed to depict the ideology of Death Note i.e. justice.

Death Note is really a beautiful work of art created by Tsugumi Ohba and you should watch it. If you haven't watched the Death Note till now you do not know what you are missing in your life. So watch it before you die.

This is just my opinion and feelings that I experience it might be same or different for you as in Death Note the characters have their own sense of justice as it's a matter of perspective.
